Kofi Tonto | Executive Director/Founder

Kofi Tonto is a man of many talents. He is an entrepreneur and an avid supporter of the Pan African movement. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a degree in Economics, and a minor in Political Science. In 2009, he returned to his home country for a three month study abroad program at one of Ghana’s premier universities, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. There, Kofi did extensive research work on taxation and remittances to underline the crucial role that remittances played in bridging the poverty gap in Ghana. Kofi brings an extensive professional background, covering a wide range of skills from marketing, branding, compliance reporting, and financial and data analyses to taxation.

He currently serves as a Board of Director for Center for Family Progress, a nonprofit organization with a mission to assist new immigrants and underprivileged individuals and families to become members of the American society.

Fati Sinkinah | Director of Operations/Co-Founder

Fati Sinkinah is the Co-Founder and Director of AYE. She acquired her undergraduate degree from Providence College in Health Policy and Management and Public Service. Ms. Sinkinah worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for three years and currently works for BayPath Elder Services. As the Director of Operations for AYE, Ms. Sinkinah ensures that the daily activities of the organization are in compliance with state and federal requirements. Crucially, she provides the necessary help needed for team members to achieve measurable and cost effective results that align with the organization’s strategic goals.

She currently serves as a Board of Director for Center for Family Progress (CFP), a nonprofit organization with a mission to assist new immigrants and underprivileged individuals and families to become inclusive members of the American society.

Kwame Ofosu-Ansah | Director of Finance

Kwame is a graduate of Colorado State University where he earned a Bachelor of Art in Economics and minor in Business Administration. Kwame has worked as a Business Analyst for the Department of Youth Services in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He currently works for Department of Youth Services as a Regional Administrator. As a Director of Finance, Kwame is primarily responsible for managing all Finances in the organization as well as developing and reviewing new contracts.

Esther Baah | Director of Awards

Esther Baah is the Director of Awards for African Youth Excellence (AYE) Inc. She is a young ambitious woman with a passion to serve. Her educational accomplishments include a BS in Chemistry from Worcester State University and currently pursuing a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree at Lake Erie School of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM). At LECOM, she serves as the SGA president and is actively involved in various organizations such as Phi Lamda Sigma, a leadership honor society and Rho Chi, an academic honor society. She hopes to enroll in a residency after pharmacy school to further enhance her skills and intellect in becoming a phenomenal pharmacist. Along with being a pharmacy student, and serving on the AYE team, she is also a Youth leader for the North American Baptist Churches (NABA).

As the Director of Awards, Esther formulates strategies and manages all projects relating to the African Youth Excellence Awards (AYEA). She oversees the planning of the awards and the logistics of the event.

Adwoa Sakyi-Lamptey | Director of Services

Adwoa Sakyi-Lamptey, Director of Services for AYE, is a graduate of Worcester State University. A former Ms. Africa, her professional journey started as a chemist working with one of the top medical laboratories in Massachusetts and has transitioned into Project Management. She is currently a Sr. Account Manager on site at Takeda Oncology.

In her role as Director of Services, Adwoa has an oversight responsibility to monitor all projects in the organization and to ensure that the overall goals of AYE's projects are met and on time. She will directly supervise and/or support the implementation of all AYE projects using methods that are cognizant with the mission and vision of AYE. Her entrepreneurial leadership experience coupled with a strong project management background will be of great impact in this role.

Samuel Lamptey | CIO/Senior Data Analyst

Samuel Lamptey is the CIO / Senior Data Analyst. He received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH. Mr. Lamptey continued on to further his education at Clark University where he obtained a Master of Science in Information Technology degree as well as a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Cyber Security. As the Chief Information Officer, Mr. Lamptey is responsible of all IT related issues. He is responsible for formulating an information technology strategy and overseeing the computer systems and services that support day-to-day operation. As the Senior Data Analyst, he is responsible for developing strategies for collecting and studying data to reveal ways to enhance performance.

In his professional life, Mr. Lamptey works as a Systems Engineer at Echostor Technologies in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.

Jacqui Oyimer | Director of AYE Abroad, Africa

Jacqui is a development practitioner with rich experience in non-profit administration, participatory community work, youth empowerment, capacity building, action research, event’s planning, project management, and monitoring and evaluation to positively impact communities and bring about social change in Africa. She holds a M.A in International Development and Social Change from Clark University, Massachusetts, USA and a B.Sc. in Marketing from the University of Professional Studies, Accra, Ghana.

She was a Commonwealth Corps for the Massachusetts Service Alliance where she served as the Program Development Coordinator for the African Community Education Program. In that capacity, she supported newly arrived refugees and immigrants to navigate educational resources and opportunities available in their new communities in the city of Worcester.

Jacqui represented the Pan African Youth Union as a Youth for Development Ambassador at the National Youth Council for Switzerland in Bern on a partnership exchange program between the African Union and European Union that sought to promote knowledge, skills and cultural sharing among young people from the two continents. While in Switzerland, she also worked with the International Cultural Youth Exchange Organization to receive international volunteers, organize introductory camps, guide tour events and coordinate grand intercultural events for volunteers, host families and other stakeholders. She also played a pivotal role and and supervised the start of their community projects.
She has quality volunteering, research, teaching and managerial skills from a variety of working experience in different capacities at international organizations such Training Resources of America, Care International, Clark University and Alpha Beta Education Centers.

Jacqui has to her credit held many different leadership positions in various African and Non-African youth groups including serving as the 1st Vice President of the West African Network of Young Female Leaders. She has travelled extensively in Africa, Europe and North America for a host of international engagements in the interest of young people.

She currently lives in Accra, Ghana where she manages AYE's African Abroad Program on the field, passionately coaches young adults to develop winning life and leadership skills and supports her husband to Pastor a wonderful community church.

Nana O. Bonsu | Director of Fundraising

Nana Bonsu currently serves as the Director of Fundraising at African Youth Excellence (AYE) Inc. Nana’s passion to serve the African community in and out of the diaspora is evident in his life and duties. He graduated President of the African students association at University of Massachusetts Lowell (UMass Lowell) where he earned a degree in Business Administration and a Masters of Higher Education. Along with his AYE duties, Nana works at Navitas USA at UMass. In the position of Marketing and Recruitment officer, he manages the marketing of the UMass schools and international student recruitment for UMass Lowell, UMass Boston and UMass Dartmouth for all East, West and South African countries.

Formally Director of Communications, Nana now serves as Director of Fundraising. Nana’s primarily responsibility is to lead and execute all fundraising events and activities for AYE.

Dr. Osae-Kwapong | Director of Research

Dr. Osae-Kwapong has spent the last ten years working with universities in the area of institutional effectiveness where his job is to help evaluate programs and services and use data for continuous improvement. He currently serves as the Associate Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Institutional Effectiveness at The University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio. Prior to Findlay, he worked as the Director for Research and Planning at Columbia University in New York City. He has served in similar roles at five other colleges and universities. Before beginning his career in higher education, he worked as a program evaluator and later on as a researcher with two different government agencies in the state of ohio. Dr Osae-Kwapong holds a Ph.D. in political science from George Mason University, a Master of Public Administration degree from Clark Atlanta University and a bachelors degree in political science from Houghton College.
