ABOUT AYE
African Youth Excellence (AYE) is a research and youth advocacy organization headquartered in the United States. AYE is committed to encouraging, developing and honing the skills of ‘Pursuers’; namely young talented youth of African descent in the diaspora (including Afro-Caribbean’s, and African-Americans). At AYE we believe in the unique potential of African youth in the African diaspora, and thus, seek to enhance this potential by celebrating their individual and collective achievements.
AYE ‘Pursuers’ are selected from the finest colleges and universities, hold leading positions across corporate and non-corporate America; and all share a common ground as trailblazers in their various endeavors.
We empower ‘Pursuers’ by providing them access to essential educational and career enhancement tools. Moreover, through our network of ‘Pursuers’; we provide a unique collaborative forum for the sharing and dissemination of ideas. This is primarily achieved through close partnerships and strategic alliances with colleges, universities, organizations and corporations that share a common vision for promoting and celebrating excellence among African youth in the diaspora.
To achieve these goals, AYE has identified four key pillars on which to base its activities. These include:
MISSION
The mission of AYE is to nurture the development of African youth in the diaspora between the ages of 18 and 35; and to mobilize, educate, empower, and celebrate their continued success.
DUTIES:
The Senior Research Analyst will support AYE’s vision of building a resourceful research department that supports the professional advancement of young Africans. The Senior Research Analyst will report to the Executive Director. In the absence of the Executive Director, the Senior Research Analyst will report to the Director of Operations. The Senior Research Analyst will be responsible for the following:
- Defines research plans, sets milestones and manage all research works
- Analyze data, identify trends and patterns, and write periodic comprehensive reports
- Use visual techniques to create info-graphics
- Oversee periodic research publications and reporting
- Develop marketing mechanisms that will ensure adequate distribution of all AYE’s research works
- Present compelling research findings at public forums.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS required. Preferred areas of study include Statistics, Economics and other related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work or professional experience.
- Candidate must have an MD in Economics or related field degree or currently pursuing one. Some experience in project management or professional experience in economic and statistical research preferred.
- A successful candidate must demonstrate the capacity to think and work independently, exhibit excellent writing skills, data mining/analysis and research skills.
- Advanced knowledge of excel or a statistical software is preferred.

The Social Media Manager will support AYE’s vision of building a resourceful social media platform that supports the professional advancement of young Africans. The Social Media Manager will report directly to the Director of Marketing. In the absence of the Marketing Director, the Social Media Manager report to the Director of Operations. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and implement strategies that promote AYE on all social media platforms.
- Understands and understands proper usage of AYE’s brand voice and ensures all posts resonate with AYE’s target audience.
- Must develop mechanisms to improve and grow AYE’s presence on all social media platforms.
- Generates and publishes at least 5 social media posts per day and monitors all conversations. May work with IT Director to update AYE’s website periodically.
- Develop social media marketing materials and submit social media reports for internal and external use.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS required. Candidates pursuing a Bachelor’s degree may apply.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work or professional experience preferred.
- A successful candidate must demonstrate the capacity to think and work independently, and exhibit excellent writing skills.
